Mark your calendar for July 11th, 2026 at 7:00 AM for this open water sprint triathlon featuring a 400-meter swim, 15-kilometer bike ride, and 5-kilometer run through the scenic, flat terrain along the Tennessee River in Decatur, Alabama. Under new management by Team Rocket Tri Club with longtime Race Director Leah Brown still heavily involved, Wet Dog is committed to being North Alabama's premier open water sprint event while supporting Tennessee Valley Outreach, Morgan County Rescue Squad, and Princess Theater. As the second race in the Summer Sprint Series, finishers will receive a series water bottle, and all races will be professionally photographed by We Run Race Photography.
