Head to Wakefield, KS for a community celebration offering both a 10K and a 1-mile fun run—the 10K features wide streets transitioning to scenic paved highway with rolling hills and flat stretches around Milford Lake (complete with an aid station at 3½ miles and a support vehicle), while the 1-mile fun run keeps things flat with a small obstacle course halfway through. Registration is just $20, and if you sign up by August 28, 2026, you'll snag a t-shirt; the 10K awards trophies to the top three overall finishers plus age-group medals, and the 1-mile race prizes its top three finishers.
