On August 29th, 2026, Valley Center Elementary Schools invites you to participate in their annual Hornet Hustle at VCIS, a volunteer-organized event where 100% of the proceeds are split equally among five local schools. The morning kicks off at 8 a.m. with five different racing options: a competitive 5K and 2-mile road race through town (ages 12+, or younger with an adult), a 1-mile family-friendly run/walk on campus that welcomes strollers and walkers, plus shorter races for younger kids including a ¼-mile fun run for kindergarteners and first graders and a 50-yard dash for pre-K students. Sign up by August 21st to secure your race t-shirt, and stay afterward to enjoy food trucks serving coffee and brunch!
