Lace up for a purposeful day of running on May 23rd in Fort Gibson, where the American Legion is hosting a community event that lets you choose between a 5k or a 1-mile fun run/walk while supporting the Trail of Honor Flags project—an initiative to install 300 permanent flag poles displaying American flags to tribute current and former military service members. You'll have the option to carry a flag as you run, and everyone who registers by May 9th is guaranteed to receive a race t-shirt.
