Head to St. Max Church in Scarborough on Saturday, August 29, 2026, for the 16th Annual South Portland Food Cupboard 5K Road Race, where you can run or walk while supporting families in your community—your $30 entry fee provides a month's worth of food for a local family, and last year's event raised $11,000 to help over 400 families. Registration is available online from June 1st through August 26th for $30, or on race day starting at 7:30am for $35 (or $30 if you bring a food donation). The day kicks off with a free kids' fun run at 8:30am, followed by the main 5K at 9am with awards for top finishers and age group medal winners.
