If you've dreamed of swimming the same ocean course as the county lifeguards, here's your chance to make it happen in Avalon! This inaugural public event features two options: the full Murray Mile or the new Murray Half Mile for those new to ocean swimming, both starting and finishing at approximately 35th Street with a beach start on Saturday at 6:30pm. Named after Captain Murray Wolf, the beloved 65-year Avalon Beach Patrol captain, this event honors his legacy while registration remains open until July 18th at 5:30pm.
