This challenging 1.1-mile route up Monticello's famous Morris Hill packs nearly 600 feet of elevation gain into a demanding vertical mile, complete with winding turns and beautiful scenery that will push your limits. You'll grab your packet at the Monticello Farmers Market, take a quick 5-minute guided walk to the 9:00 AM start on Morris Hill Road, then head back to the market afterward (via your own power or a shuttle) for awards, food, and community celebration. The top three finishers in each gender category win awards and cash prizes—$150 for overall first place or $300 if you set a new course record—and every participant takes home a commemorative sticker!
