Lace up your fastest running shoes and head to Palmer High School Track on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 6:00 PM for the inaugural Matanuska Mile! You'll tackle a full mile (1609 meters) that's hand-timed, with runners organized into heats by speed—starting with the slower pace group at 6:00 PM and faster groups following at roughly 15-minute intervals (up to four heats total). Register online by noon on race day or sign up in person at the track starting at 5:00 PM, knowing that all fees benefit the Palmer High School Cross Country teams.
