This family-friendly summer program by Lake Run Club invites children ages 1-12 to enjoy Friday evening runs in July at Kingsley Junior High School in Normal, designed to show kids that running and exercise can be fun in a non-competitive environment. Young participants will be organized into age groups with staggered start times (the youngest runners, age 2 and under, begin at 6 PM with parent participation welcome), and larger age groups may split into multiple heats to keep things safe and organized. Walk-up registration opens at 5:30 PM on race day for $5 per session, and t-shirts are available for purchase through RunSignup.
