Young runners aged 14 and under can participate in this Ketchikan youth event starting April 11, 2026, by logging miles virtually toward a 13.1-mile half marathon goal, then joining a community celebration around Ward Lake on Saturday, July 11 at 8:00am for the final mile. All participants who complete the final mile event receive a finisher's prize, plus those who've accumulated 12 or more virtual miles earn additional giveaways, while virtual-only finishers get recognized on social media (with parental permission). You're welcome to skip the virtual portion entirely and simply show up on race day to run the final mile with the group!
