Get ready for the 4th annual cross country celebration in Kirkwood this October 2026, featuring a fun two-day event where elementary and middle school runners compete in grade and gender-specific races—younger kids (grades 3-5) tackle a 1-mile course on Day 2 while older students (grades 6-8) and the KHS Girls' JV team run 1.5 miles on Day 1! Best part? It's completely free for all Kirkwood families, and the middle school races even sync up with the beloved Finn Dawg Meet hosted by the KHS Girls' Cross Country program. Big River Race Management, along with the amazing support from Kirkwood High's cross country teams and local parent volunteers, are putting together this district-wide event to get everyone excited about running!
