Lend your support to a wonderful cause on June 20th at 8:00 am when this community walk/run event kicks off at Liberty High School to honor Abraham "Abe" Balawi, a standout athlete and 2015 graduate who passed away in 2017. Since its launch in 2018, the race has raised funds for the Abraham Balawi Memorial Scholarship Fund, which has enabled deserving Pickens County high school seniors to attend universities including Clemson, Stanford, USC, and Duke. Whether you're chasing a personal best or simply passionate about giving back to your community, all fitness levels are encouraged to join—100% of proceeds benefit scholarships and local cross country and track & field programs.
