This patriotic sprint distance triathlon taking place July 25th, 2026 at Swensrud Park in Northwood, Iowa honors first responders from the military, firefighters, nurses, EMS, dispatchers, corrections, and law enforcement—who start the race while other participants follow as "backup" support. The event welcomes runners of all abilities (you don't need to be a first responder to join!) and features a 150-meter pool swim, 10.4-mile bike ride with rolling hills, and a mostly flat 5k run with one gradual incline.
