Celebrate Independence Day with the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office and Team Give Back at this Firecracker 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in historic downtown Dahlonega! The 5K kicks off at 7:00am with the Fun Run following at 8:00am, both starting and finishing at Dahlonega's Visitors Center, with awards presented at 8:30am. All event proceeds support Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office Youth Programs, and pre-registered participants (by June 19) receive race shirts and compete for awards in overall categories and numerous age divisions.
