Starting at Echo Lake's already-impressive 10,600-foot elevation in Idaho Springs, CO, you'll tackle nearly 4,000 vertical feet of climbing over 14.5 miles, with much of the route above treeline, to reach the 14,264-foot summit of Mt. Blue Sky—a iconic peak visible from Denver's skyline. You can choose between the Ascent (one-way to the summit) or the Round Trip (climb up and run back down) on June 28, 2026, and expect some amazing mountain wildlife spectators like bighorn sheep, marmots, and mountain goats along the way!
