Calling all runners—this event in Elk River, MN features a 1k kids race on pavement and a 5k trail race for everyone else, both hosted at Woodland Trails Park near the Elk River Country Club. The 5k takes you over challenging grass trails with a mix of flat sections and steep, winding terrain that'll really test your fitness—think of it as a fun new way to experience the same trails you might ski in winter. Registered participants get wicking t-shirts (guaranteed if you sign up by July 5th), and top finishers in each age group earn custom awards.
