Head to Montevallo this Memorial Day for a special untimed 5K run/walk where you'll carry an American flag while exploring the scenic American Village grounds—the 1.55-mile loop repeats twice on easy paved paths, welcomes strollers and wheelchairs, and includes water and fruit stations along the way. Starting at 7:00 AM on Monday, May 25, 2026, every finisher takes home a custom challenge coin, and your entry fee helps support both the American Village and the Alabama National Cemetery's Support Committee. You'll finish with plenty of time to head over to the cemetery's 9:00 AM Memorial Day Service if you'd like to continue honoring those we remember.
