Get ready for a demanding 15K point-to-point route in the scenic Palo Duro Canyon area, starting 14 miles south of Claude, Texas on Highway 207. The course features roughly 5 miles of mostly downhill running with an 800-foot elevation drop, followed by 2 miles of rolling terrain at the canyon floor, and finishes with a challenging 800-foot climb out of the canyon over the final stretch. Since transportation back to the starting line is extremely limited, plan ahead to arrange your own ride, and relay runners should note that handoff points occur at approximately 3.1 miles and 6.2 miles.
