Join us at South Park in downtown Lawrence on Monday, May 25 at 8:30 a.m. for the 5K Home Run, a community event that welcomes runners, walkers, stroller pushers, and leashed dogs of all abilities—or participate virtually anytime between May 19-25 for just $30 per person ($25 per person for teams of four or more). All proceeds benefit Family Promise of Lawrence, which supports local families experiencing housing insecurity, and you'll enjoy perks like a free kids' zone featuring a bounce house, face painting, and yard games, plus medals and prizes for age group and fundraising category winners. Your participation directly helps the 269 families and 571 children that Family Promise served in 2025, and you'll receive a commemorative T-shirt if you register by May 1.
