Join La Plata County 4-H for their first-ever 5K fun run/walk on August 8 at 8:30 AM at the La Plata County Fairgrounds (2500 Main Ave) in Durango, with check-in beginning at 8 AM on the lawn next to the Extension Building. The out-and-back course takes you 1.55 miles south along the Animas River Trail to the fire department before heading back to finish where you started. This zero-waste event welcomes runners and walkers of all paces, offers giveaways for everyone, and directs all proceeds to support La Plata County 4-H's mission—just bring your own water and leave no trace!
