Hosted by the Tau Gamma Gamma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, this commemorative run welcomes both military and civilian participants to honor the 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion—the first all-Black airborne unit in U.S. Army history. Formed in 1943 during World War II, the Triple Nickle completed intensive training at Fort Benning and Fort Bragg but faced deployment barriers due to segregation policies of the era. This second annual event at Fort Bragg celebrates the legacy of these trailblazing paratroopers who fought for integration within the armed forces.
