Calling all walkers in Virginia Beach! To compete in the 2026 Tidewater Striders Walking Grand Prix, you'll need to be a member in good standing and complete at least 6 races (counting from your membership date forward). Points are awarded based on placement—10 for first place, 8 for second, 6 for third, and so on, with all other finishers earning 1 point regardless of race distance. Keep in mind that you can enter both the Walking and Running Grand Prix, but you'll only earn points in whichever category you register for each race, and volunteering at three Tidewater Striders-supported events is required to be eligible for awards.
