Held in Hopedale, MA, this event honors Larry "Legend" Olsen, an exceptional runner and coach who earned USA Track and Field Masters National Runner of the Year five times, set multiple US National Masters records, won eight USATF-NE Grand Prix Series Masters Championships, and achieved race victories across every decade of his running life—from his teens through age 60+. Beyond his impressive athletic achievements, Larry founded the Tri-Valley Front Runners and devoted himself to coaching the Hopedale High School Girls Cross Country Team, earning him a 2014 induction into the USATF Masters Hall of Fame. The event features both a 5K race and a Kids Dash, and incoming high school seniors who participate are welcome to apply for the Larry Olsen Scholarship.
