Get ready for a fun cause at the 14th Annual Outrun the Cops 5K Run/Walk happening Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Gurnee, IL—with a 10K run option too! Online registration closes Wednesday, June 24th at midnight, but you can sign up in person at the Gurnee Police Department through Saturday morning (June 25th 6-8 PM, June 26th 7 AM-7 PM, or June 27th 7-8 AM). This timed event starts and finishes at the police department, takes you mostly along the Des Plaines River Trail's crushed limestone surface, and benefits the Lake County Children's Advocacy Center with aid stations and refreshments along the way.
