Join us in Richland, WA on August 29, 2026, for the Plutonium Man Triathlon, where you can tackle either the Olympic or sprint distance—or compete as a relay team in the Olympic event. The Olympic distance features a 1.3 km swim in the Columbia River (with a helpful current!), a 40 km bike ride, and a 10 km run, while the sprint distance scales down to 1.3 km swim, 20 km bike, and 5 km run. Swimmers start at a beach near the North Richland starch plant and head downstream, with transitions at the WSU Tri-Cities campus, cycling on Sprout Road and George Washington Way, and running in two loops heading north along the river.
