Catalyst XC takes place on the expertly crafted MTB trails at SIU Touch of Nature in Makanda, IL—a trail system known for being one of the fastest and smoothest in Southern Illinois, complete with a few creek crossings and rock gardens to keep things interesting. Racing kicks off Saturday, August 8th at 10AM with multiple waves (E-Bike, Expert, Sport, Beginner, Youth, and Kids classes), with registration opening at 8AM and sign-ups beginning May 29th. The course features 10-mile laps for adults and youth plus a 2-mile kids' course, all clearly marked with tape and spray paint to help even first-timers navigate smoothly through the woods.
