This 1-mile run/walk event in Scranton, PA on August 16, 2026 honors Paul "Hook" O'Malley, a beloved local boxing trainer and community advocate who passed away from cancer in 1992 and was deeply committed to the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of local youth. "Hook" was known for his generous spirit, strong moral compass, and ability to connect with people from all backgrounds—whether in the spotlight or mentoring struggling teens. All proceeds from this 34th anniversary race will support cancer-related causes through the Lackawanna County unit.
