Lace up for the 48th Annual Capital City Stampede on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in downtown Montpelier, where you can tackle one of Vermont's fastest 10K courses or join the 5K power walk—both offering five-year age group awards and a chance to qualify for the National Senior Games if you're 50 or older. The mostly flat out-and-back route takes you through downtown, past the Vermont State House, along the Montpelier Bike Path, and through the high school grounds, with the 10K kicking off at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K at 9:02 a.m. Online registration is open now (with special pricing for ages 10-19 and 65-99), or you can register on race day with packet pickup starting at 7:30 a.m. on Langdon Street
