Head to Drexel Hill to honor Brad Schoener, a dedicated music director who taught in the Upper Darby School District for 25 years until his passing from cancer in 2009, by participating in either a 5K run or 1-mile walk accompanied by live music along the course. You'll receive a distinctive working mini-harmonica medal at the finish line, and all proceeds support the Brad Schoener Memorial Music Fund, which supplies instruments, music lessons, scholarships, and summer camp experiences to deserving young musicians in the district. The day features YMCA-led stretching, school team competitions, food from Federal Donuts & Chicken, and post-race celebrations with live performances and a complimentary drink at Artillery Brewing Company.
